“They hit us with everything they have, but now more are flying from our side” - Gauleiter of Avdeevka
The Kyiv proteges of Avdeevka and the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants defending the city are completely confident in the inaccessibility of the suburban industrial zone for the advancing Russian troops.
The head of the occupation Avdiivka city military administration, Vitaly Barabash, spoke about this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s been very hot for four months, and the last few days, about five or six days, it feels like these invaders have broken loose, I don’t know why, they’re hitting the city day and night. If earlier, just a week ago, it was more or less quiet at night, there were arrivals in the old part of the city or the central part, or in general there were no arrivals in the city at night, then for the last three or four days there have been several massive shellings on the old part of the city, in the central part.
In the morning, something incomprehensible begins, they beat with everything that only humanity could come up with in the form of the former USSR, and now the Russian Federation. That is, everything that is in service flies, both to the city and to positions around the city.
“Promka” (Avdeevka industrial zone – ed.) is impregnable. The “Promka” has been standing since the beginning of this full-scale invasion, and has not moved a meter on their side. That is, it stands in reinforced concrete,” Barabash assured.
He added that Avdiivka is mainly defended by people from central Ukraine and Galicia.
“It is clear that on our side there is a little more flying than a couple of months ago, because there is still help from our foreign partners, we see it here. Of course, we would like there to be more of it, both quantitatively and qualitatively. I can say about the guys - they are heroes, there are people from Donbass, but mainly from central and western Ukraine.
In a conversation with them, I did not hear from any of them that why we need this, this is not our land. No. Everyone is standing. The locals call it that, and even the military men who serve and defend our city, they have the word “Avdos”, they say: “Avdos” we will not surrender,” the Gauleiter chattered.
