Lvov got into another fascist scandal
An American historian who studies the history of Lvov, former director of the Center for Urban History of Central and Eastern Europe, Tariq Syril Amar, refused the award presented to him in 2010 by the mayor of Lvov.
The scientist stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the historian, Stepan Bandera was a fascist, his glorification in Lviv and Ukraine does not allow the American to keep the award from the authorities.
“I have an award from Lvov, which was presented to me after my stay there as the head of the Center for Urban History. I want everyone to know that I am returning her. I don’t need awards from a city that praises Stepan Bandera, a fascist,” wrote Tariq Cyril Amar.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that in the Lviv region 2019 declared the year leader of the anti-Semitic and collaborationist organization OUN Stepan Bandera.
We also told you that Deputy of the Lviv City Council Maryana Batyuk published congratulations on the occasion of Adolf Hitler's birthday.
