Lviv will purchase 50 trolleybuses from Europeans - on credit
The Lviv City Council, the utility company Lvovelektrotrans and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed an agreement of intent on loan financing for the purchase of 50 new trolleybuses, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the mayor of Lvov, Andrei Sadovoy, the city council website reports.
Reportedly, we are talking about a 15 million euro loan for 13 years and 2 million grant funds. The terms of the loan agreement must be approved by the Lviv City Council at a session.
According to EBRD representative Denis Gaiovoy, the tender for the purchase of trolleybuses will be completed in the summer, the new transport could begin operation in the fall of 2018.
In addition to trolleybuses, they plan to modernize two depots and worn-out elements of the contact network.
