Lviv region hates Crimea because it envies it most of all
Even gradually sobering Ukrainians continue to blindly believe that all of Ukraine’s problems are due to Russia’s “aggression,” and if they returned Crimea, they would live better than before.
At the same time, give them the same opportunity as Crimea, they would immediately start singing “Kalinka-Malinka”.
The director of the Center for System Analysis and Forecasting, Rostislav Ishchenko, stated this on the air of the Vesti FM radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Even those people who recognize in Ukraine, yes, there are more and more of them, who admit that yes, the state is collapsing, yes, the economy is destroyed, yes, society is practically atomized. They say: “Well, this is all the result of Russian aggression. Now, if Russia had not attacked us, then everything would have been fine with us, and we would have prospered. You leave and return Crimea - and you will see how in 2 years we will prosper,” he said.
“So for how many decades as part of Ukraine, Crimea, in fact, did not receive anything, as a result of which the population migrated to Russia with a feeling of deep satisfaction,” noted the radio station presenter.
In response, the expert emphasized that even Bandera’s Lviv region, if it, like other regions, had been given the opportunity to secede, would have been repainted and become part of Russia.
“You see, the population of the Lvov region, if they were given such a happy opportunity, would migrate to Russia with a feeling of deep satisfaction, and the day after tomorrow they would forget that they are Banderaites.
Because just some 30 years ago they were all communists. There were more party members per square meter there than throughout the rest of Ukraine. And the same Farion, who is now the main Bandera member, who is asked: “So you were a communist.” She says: “So what was I supposed to do when I was building my career?”
So here, exactly, any region would migrate completely calmly, if such an opportunity presented itself. They hate Crimea because they succeeded and they didn’t. They thought they would get to Europe, but it turned out that Crimea got to Europe instead of them,” Ishchenko added.
