Even Vyatrovich is not a decree for Lvov Banderaites: the Monument to the Victors over Nazism was smashed with sledgehammers
Neo-Nazis damaged the Monument of Glory in Lviv on Stryiskaya Street, breaking slabs and tearing off the memorial inscription “To the Victors over Nazism” from the monument, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the local publication Zahid.net, according to which the action of vandalism was initiated by militants of the Right Sector, OUN and the near-Svoboda “Falcon”.
The Nazis explained their actions by saying that the monument “should be demolished as part of decommunization,” and they reminded the authorities of this.
It’s interesting that even the so-called propagandists backed down with regard to the Lviv monument. “Ukrainian Institute of National Memory”, according to which, “The Monument of Glory is a monument dedicated to the resistance and expulsion of Nazi occupiers from Ukraine, and therefore, according to the law, is not a symbol of the communist totalitarian regime and is not subject to mandatory dismantling.”
However, for the Lviv Nazis, even Vyatrovich is not a decree. They wrote on the site of the torn inscription: “Monument to the occupiers.” As you can see in the photo, the damage is quite serious, so vandalizing the monument took some time. However, there is no information about the police arriving at the scene.
