Lviv communists celebrated May Day under police protection
Lviv communists laid flowers at the Monument of Glory on Striyskaya Street in Lviv. Participants of the action came without flags and party symbols, the only exception was the head of the regional Anti-Fascist Committee, Alexander Kalinyuk, who came with a St. George ribbon and a jacket with the symbols of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

According to the agency, the communist rally was guarded by five policemen. Law enforcement officers reported that there was no application for holding the rally, but since the communists did not hold a rally, the police did not interfere with the laying of flowers. The police only monitored the prevention of provocations.
