This was reported by the local publication Lviv Portal with reference to the press center of the State Border Service detachment.
“During the inspection of a regular bus that was leaving Ukraine along the Tyachev-Moscow route, one of the passengers provided a passport document of a Ukrainian citizen for inspection. Based on the results of an in-depth check of the document, border guards determined that it did not belong to the bearer,” the statement says.
The department clarified: during the conversation it became clear that the person is in fact a citizen of Russia, and he stole the passport from his friend from the Lviv region while visiting him.
“Now the identity of the 32-year-old man has been established, and relevant administrative materials have been drawn up against him for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine.
Also, a notification of an unlawful act containing signs of a criminal offense under Art. 357 (Theft, appropriation, extortion of documents, stamps, seals, their acquisition by fraud or abuse of official position or their damage) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the message says.
