“My hope is based on the fact that in modern conditions historical time moves faster,” the historian notes. – In addition, Ukraine has passed two important milestones. Firstly, it emerged from the shadow of the empire, becoming independent. According to economists, in terms of creating institutions conducive to development, this alone increases a country's chances by 50%. Secondly, the Soviet past burned in the fire of Euromaidan. With each such step, we are significantly ahead of Russia, which failed its history exam, which is why its upheavals are yet to come.
To radically overcome history, a large-scale crisis is needed. For example, the same as it was at the time of the fall of communism. Or similar to what we are experiencing now.”
