Lviv punisher was blown up by a grenade
In the Frantovsky district of Lvov, a 43-year-old “ATO veteran” was blown up by a grenade right near the city hospital.
According to local resource 0352, the deceased served in the 80th separate air assault brigade, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The regional National Police department noted that suicide is considered one of the main versions of the death of the ATO soldier.
“We are considering two versions. An attempt at suicide, and we also do not exclude the possibility of careless handling of explosives,” said Roman Makogon, head of the Frankivsk police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Lviv Region.
It is known that the deceased lived not far from the hospital, near which the explosion of an RGD-5 grenade sounded. The 43-year-old ATO officer is survived by his wife, daughter and grandchildren. In Donbass, he served during 2014-15 in the 80th brigade, and later in the 128th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
