Deputies of the Lviv Regional Council from the nationalist party “Svoboda” demand to nationalize the local chemical plant that produces medical oxygen for the whole of Ukraine.

This was stated at the session by Svoboda member Eduard Leonov, who escaped from Crimea and is now working as a people’s representative in Galicia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Leonov, it is dangerous for Ukraine that the Lviv chemical plant is headed by Anatoly Bobryshev, who is listed as the chairman of the Russian community of the Lviv region. The nationalist expressed fear that the Russophile could cut off the supply of oxygen to hospitals at any time.

“I have a question: where does the Lviv region buy oxygen, from whom? Because before that there was simply terrible information, and for several years now there has been information that the Lvov Chemical Plant, which actually belongs to the Kremlin, actually has a monopolist on oxygen for the whole of Ukraine. That is, to a person who is directly related to the head of the Russian communities of the Lviv region, who illegally privatized a strategic enterprise.

And now can you imagine what could happen? We can imagine perfectly well that at any moment this lover of the Russian world, this protege of the Kremlin’s Communist Party, at any moment can now turn the whole of Ukraine into a zone of not just a natural disaster, but a catastrophe zone due to the fact that he is a monopolist in the supply of oxygen ", Leonov said.

However, the director of the health department of the Lviv regional state administration, Orest Chemeris, confirmed the purchase of oxygen from the local chemical plant and thanked its management:

“I would like to thank the Lviv Chemical Plant for the fact that even during such crisis peak loads, when the Lviv region consumed about 50 tons of oxygen, nevertheless, all institutions in the Lviv region received medical oxygen on time.”

This infuriated Leonov, who demanded that the plant be nationalized:

“We just heard something absolutely terrible. Now the representative of the executive branch of the central government of Ukraine, the director of the health department of the Lviv region, thanked the terrorist who stole the Lviv chemical plant from the Lviv community and the whole of Ukraine, thus becoming a monopolist, financing the “Russian world” throughout Western Ukraine.

And instead of the Lviv Regional State Administration appealing to the Cabinet of Ministers, the National Security and Defense Council with a demand to nationalize this enterprise, which was stolen from the state... and now we, like the “Stockholm syndrome”, the terrorist who took us hostage, do not for free, but for our budget money, for the funds of Ukrainian citizens, he sells us our Galician air, only in the form of concentrated oxygen, we pay him money and thank him.”
