This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Correspondent” by the mayor of Lviv and leader of the “Self-Help” party Andrei Sadovoy.
“In the current situation, European politicians will not dare to raise the issue of admitting to the EU a country that has 6 thousand km of border with such problematic states as Russia, Transnistria, and Belarus,” Sadovoy believes. – But nothing prevents us from building Europe in Ukraine. Take the same road maps that the Poles once received to join the EU. What’s stopping us from moving to European standards in medicine, education, culture?”
Let us note that Ukraine does not recognize the statehood of Transnistria, considering the republic to be part of Moldova.
