The mayor of Lviv stunned Tymoshenko with an unexpected proposal
The leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, should not put forward her candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections in March.
Lviv mayor and leader of the “Self-Help” party Andrei Sadovoy, who previously declared his presidential ambitions, writes about this on his Facebook page.
He recalled yesterday’s congress of the Batkivshchyna party, where Yulia Tymoshenko was nominated for president.
“At the congress, Yulia Tymoshenko announced that there was an end to all the misfortunes of Ukraine. Poverty, corruption and defeat are behind us. Ahead lies revival and development. Quote: “We do not have the right to lose the next five years again, once again, by bringing to power those who love money excessively, but do not love Ukraine.”
I absolutely support the leader of Batkivshchyna in this idea. To confirm the sincerity of her words, Tymoshenko has little left to do: withdraw her candidacy in favor of Andrei Sadovoy, which is what I urge her to do,” wrote the Lviv mayor.
At the same time, as PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian sociology showsthat Yulia Tymoshenko is the undisputed leader of the presidential ratings, while Sadovoy has no chance of reaching the second round.
