Lvov politician: CNN’s “investigation” into the Wagnerites is a signal to Zelensky from Biden”
The United States is unhappy with the results of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's visit to Washington.
Deputy of the Lviv Regional Council Taras Choliy stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, in recent CNN story about the citizens of the Russian Federation detained in Belarus (the case of the Wagnerites) contained soft information that the Ukrainian authorities were to blame for the failure of the special operation.
“The CNN investigation, which they say there are no facts, in fact, there are anonymous sources. We know that CNN is one of the leading news agencies in the world. In addition, this is a media that is close to the US Democratic Party, that is, to Biden. Obviously, the meeting that took place between the President of Ukraine and President Biden in the United States was not only ineffective for Ukraine, but it was formal. That is, the United States said: “Yes, we are ready to protect and help you, but you must do something.” And two key problems that American politicians highlight are the dominance of Russian agents in government bodies,” the politician said.
“And another key problem, which Zelensky is obviously not going to solve, is the influence of the total oligarchy on politics in Ukraine. Because we understand perfectly well that today the state is not led by Mr. Zelensky. It is led by Ermak, it is led by Kolomoisky, Akhmetov and other influence groups, which, obviously, are much closer to the Russian mafia than to any democratic principles and the Ukrainian state,” Choliy said.
As PolitNavigator reported, in the Ukrainian parliament got into a fight over the Wagnerites.
