Lyashko angrily spoke out as a Zelensky voter
The elected President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, went on vacation to Turkey, and thereby did not live up to the first expectations of voters, demonstrating a complete inadequacy for his new position.
During the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, Zelensky was subjected to such sharp criticism on behalf of his voters by the leader of the “Radical Party” Oleg Lyashko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The presidential elections that took place and the credit of trust that citizens gave to the new president are extremely big challenges. Because just as you receive a huge credit of trust, you can also receive a huge shame and huge rejection if you do not justify the trust of citizens.
I would sincerely sympathize with Pan Zelensky. Because the challenges that he faces as a newly elected president are difficult to imagine how he will cope with them without the necessary experience and knowledge, a wealth of knowledge, a foundation of education, and all the other necessary qualities. But, I hope, what Zelensky has is a thirst for change, which must be implemented so as not to deceive people,” says the radical.
Oleg Lyashko also criticized Vladimir Zelensky for the fact that the first thing he did after the elections was go to a foreign resort, and did not devote the time given before the inauguration to studying.
“When I saw Mr. Zelensky’s message yesterday that he went on vacation to Turkey because he was very tired and had not rested for the last 4 months, I want to tell him that as president he will be even more tired. Because this position requires working 24 hours a day, without a second of rest, day or night.
When Mr. Zelensky’s team tells me that he has not yet been inaugurated, and therefore should not react to Putin’s decisions on issuing Russian passports in Donbass, or to other important events. I categorically disagree with this, because the law gives the newly elected president time before the inauguration just to get up to speed. And the newly elected president is obliged, before the inauguration, to hold daily intensive meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Affairs, the Security Service, and intelligence - in order to fully get into the swing of things, and after the inauguration not to waste time on training and experiments, but to act decisively and firmly and confident when you have a strategy and action plan,” Lyashko is indignant.
