Ukraine should have started military operations in Crimea, then there would have been no war in Donbass, deputy Oleg Lyashko said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

“If we had fought for Crimea, there would be no war in Donbass today. Because Putin takes what is easy. When they took Crimea without firing a single shot and saw that they succeeded, they moved on to Donbass.
When people ask me at meetings in Lvov or Chernigov: why are we fighting for the Donbass, why do we need it, the answer to this question is obvious: if we had not fought for the Donbass, the enemy would already be in Kiev, Lvov, and, perhaps, further,” Lyashko said.
