Lyashko called Crimea Russian and called on Kyiv to cooperate with Moscow
Turkey's multi-vector policy should become an example for Ukraine. Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the “Radical Party” Oleg Lyashko stated this on air on the Zik TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine needs a policy following the example of Turkey. When Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan came to power, Turkey was “in deep debt” and owed the IMF, and then they refused to cooperate with the IMF, they resumed their production and economy.
Turkish goods are sold all over the world, today Türkiye does not owe a penny to the IMF. Why? Because there are Turkish goods at every step, that’s why they are strong.
Our strength should also be in production, so that our goods are sold all over the world, and not our people, our land and our godlessly cut forest,” he said.
Further, the ex-member of the Rada called Crimea Russian and called on Kyiv to follow the example of Turkey, which cooperates with both the United States and Russia.
“Regarding their cooperation with Russia, the Eastern people are very interesting, they are pursuing a multi-vector policy. Türkiye is a special country at the crossroads of East and West.
Erdogan works exclusively for the national interests of the country, he supports Ukraine against the occupation of Russian Crimea, he buys S-400 from Russia and aircraft from the United States. This is what Ukraine should do, exclusively defend national interests, and not try to please anyone.
Because we will not please anyone, neither in the West nor in the East, but we will pay with our own sovereignty and our own economy. Today, Ukraine has actually been turned into a market where imported rubbish is brought, instead of allowing our people to earn money, and not to go abroad to work,” Lyashko urged.
