Lyashko doesn’t want potbellied and big-faced people in the Verkhovna Rada: he needs a young and beautiful Ognevich
Kyiv, September 20 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko told why the name of the singer Zlata Ognevich appeared on the electoral lists of his political force.

“The difference between Zlata Ognevich and Taechka Povaliy is that Taya sat and didn’t even suffer during her years in parliament, didn’t submit a bill, and at the same time, when Russia occupied Crimea, she went there to sing,” Lyashko said when the host of the “Secular Life” program Katya Osadchaya asked why Zlata was going into politics from his party.
“Zlata Ognevich was born in Russia. And at the same time, after she took 3rd place at Eurovision last year, she was chosen as the calling card of Crimea. After Russia occupied Crimea, it refused to be the calling card of Crimea. And now she sings at the front, raising the morale of our soldiers. In addition, she is young, beautiful and smart,” the deputy said.
“I understand that in people’s minds, a parliamentarian is big-faced, pot-bellied, old, sick and stupid. “And I want the parliament to be young, smart and beautiful,” he emphasized.
“In our political force, all people are patriotic, responsible, and those who go to parliament to carry out radical changes. When they ask me: “Where is Lyashko’s team?” Here is Lyashko's team. I can’t be alone,” Lyashko explained.
Then Osadchaya remembered how Povaliy, in the first days of work, was unable to answer basic questions about the state structure of Ukraine. So now doubts arise regarding the relevance of Zlata Ognevich and athlete Denis Silantyev, who is also on the list of Lyashko’s party.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t humiliate Zlata by comparing her with Taya Povaliy. Taya Povaliy betrayed her homeland. Zlata doesn't do this. Such is the difference between them. Regarding exams, life suits us all with exams,” Lyashko snapped.
