Lyashko declared himself Churchill's double
The controversial Verkhovna Rada deputy and presidential candidate of Ukraine Oleg Lyashko promises to abolish the post of head of government if he is recognized.
The politician stated this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Novoye Vremya,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The deputy says that if elected president, he will initiate constitutional changes and reduce the number of deputies in the Ukrainian parliament to 250, and the number of ministries to 10.
“I will abolish the position of prime minister so that one person will be responsible for the state of affairs in the state,” the presidential candidate promises.
The politician was also asked to name a political leader who inspires him.
"Winston Churchill. I even look like him, and we have the same politics. He was not afraid to take responsibility, did not bend in front of international partners and firmly defended the interests of his country,” Lyashko summed up.
