Lyashko proposed imprisonment for three years for Russian flags

As you know, state symbols include the coat of arms, anthem and flag.
Let us recall that earlier, not only in Crimea, but also in the Eastern regions of Ukraine, participants in pro-Russian rallies repeatedly changed the Ukrainian flags on administrative buildings to the symbols of the Russian Federation.
In an explanatory note to the draft law, Lyashko complained that Ukrainian law enforcement officers do not respond to such cases “promptly and harshly,” citing the fact that “the fact of illegal placement of state symbols of other countries in itself is not a crime.”
Lyashko holds a different point of view, considering “such illegal placement is actually a message from these individuals that these buildings and territories are the territory of other states,” the consequence of which, in his opinion, will be “occupation and annexation of the territory of Ukraine.”
To combat the appearance of Russian flags on administrative buildings in the country, Lyashko proposes to tighten liability under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Thus, for the placement of state symbols of other countries on the territory of Ukraine, as well as public calls or distribution of materials calling for the implementation of these actions, the leader of the Radical Party proposes to punish with restriction or imprisonment for a term of two to three years.
