Lyashko reported this to the UNN agency.
According to the leader of the radicals, he was supposed to fly with the Ukrainian military, but was delayed in Mariupol.
“A week or a week and a half before this plane was shot down. This happened on the night of June 13-14, 2014. I met with Muzhenko in the Verkhovna Rada, he then headed the ATO. And he said that I would like to fly to our military personnel, take with me the People’s Artist of Ukraine Alla Kudlay in order to support our soldiers who were surrounded. Muzhenko said that it’s good, I will have the opportunity, that in the near future a military flight will fly there for rotation and they will put me on this plane.
But then I flew to Mariupol, where we liberated Mariupol and the operation to liberate Mariupol was delayed for several days. And I returned to Kyiv just on the night of June 13-14. That is, I was actually late for this plane, which was shot down,” Lyashko said.
Lyashko said that the blame for the deaths of the Ukrainian military lies entirely with the military command.
“I am convinced that the blame for those deaths lies with the military command, which did not make sure that it was safe to fly there. Moreover, they had intelligence information about the presence of weapons that could shoot down planes,” emphasized Oleg Lyashko.
