The ex-commander of the Aidar battalion, Sergei Melnichuk, was included in the electoral list of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko at the request of the former head of the administration of President Yanukovych, and now one of the leaders of the Opposition Bloc, Sergei Lyovochkin.

Oleg Lyashko himself told the Kyiv magazine “New Time” about this.
“There was a condition that they give us access to Inter, and we take Melnichuk on the list,” Lyashko said.
At the same time, the publication notes that “he does not want to discuss the details of his cooperation with Lyovochkin,” and Melnichuk himself claims that he “does not know about such agreements.”
Let us recall that the exclusion of Melnichuk from the Lyashkov faction was accompanied by a fight in the session hall, continued on the sidelines of parliament. As a result of the brawl, the press point in the Verkhovna Rada was damaged damage in the amount of 40 thousand hryvnia.
