Lyashko creates a personal battalion to protect Donbass and criticizes Avakov for appointing “non-patriots”
Kyiv - Mariupol, May 10 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - Verkhovna Rada Deputy Oleg Lyashko announced the recruitment of volunteers in the East and South of the country to form a self-defense battalion, which he will personally lead.

“I have been visiting problem regions almost all the time lately; I fly to Kyiv only for parliamentary sessions, especially important meetings and sometimes broadcasts so that people know the truth. I decided not only to help volunteers, to participate in special operations, but also to personally lead one of the volunteer battalions,” Lyashko wrote on his Facebook page.
“It will be called “Ukraine”. Because Ukraine is the most valuable thing we have. And the enemies want to take it away. The battalion will act decisively in all areas where the situation is difficult,” Lyashko promised.
“The units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions are demoralized and actually do not fulfill their functions. There is chaos in the streets, looting, people are being killed and kidnapped. The duty of every patriot of Ukraine who lives in the East or South is to take direct part in the struggle for the independence and integrity of their state,” said the notorious politician.
Lyashko called on residents of Mariupol, in particular, workers of the Ilyich, Azovstal, Azovmash, Azovelectrostal, seaport and other enterprises, to actively participate in the creation of the battalion.
Also, the deputy, who previously published a photo with the captured “Minister of Defense” of the DPR, and yesterday reported on the progress of the ATO in Mariupol, criticized the appointment of Oleg Morgun as the new chief of the Mariupol police.
“The new chief of the Mariupol police, Oleg Morgun, just said at a conference call that they looked into it and found out that yesterday “Lyashko’s black men” shot at the policemen. That is, it is not the armed terrorists who seized institutions and killed people who are to blame for yesterday’s bloody events in Mariupol, but we who tried to stop this bastard. Whom does Avakov appoint to positions? What kind of protection can citizens expect from such a police force?” Lyashko wrote.
“According to my information, Morgun is not a patriot and will not fight the separatists. Just as the head of the Donetsk regional police, Pozhidaev, who appointed Morgun, is not fighting. Donetsk cops handed over the entire region to terrorists, and Avakov continues to hold it. How I previously held the head of the Lugansk police, Guslavsky, who leaked my Luhansk region to terrorists,” said the politician.
As Navigator reported, yesterday, during a shootout near the city police department, the head of the Mariupol police, Valery Andrushchuk, was kidnapped. According to unconfirmed information, his body was found today in a forest belt.
