During the conciliation council of parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada, Lyashko stated that this plan is Artemenko’s personal initiative and does not reflect the position of the faction.
He also said that he demanded that Artemenko voluntarily resign as deputy, and if he does not do this before 15-00, Lyashko threatens, then the question of Artemenko’s expulsion from the faction will be raised.
Let us note that Artemenko proposed to lease Crimea to Russia for 30–50 years, and in an interview told The New York Times: “Many will call me a Russian agent, an American agent, a CIA agent. But how can we find a solution for our countries if we don’t talk?”
Earlier, Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk called for painful compromises with Russia, offering his plan supported by big business in Ukraine.
