Lyashko is already against NATO and for the neutrality of Ukraine - “So the Lord has determined”
The leader of the Radical Party, Oleg Lyashko, believes that Ukraine should abandon the idea of NATO membership.
About this he stated in an interview with Censor.net
“I am more and more inclined to think that Ukraine needs to give up its demands for NATO membership,” he said.
According to him, this is “not yet a final position” and it is not an official party position, but his “thoughts.” Lyashko explained his refusal to join the alliance by saying that Ukraine is geographically located between Russia and NATO countries.
“I am 200% convinced that this is why Moscow will never allow Ukraine to join the alliance. She (Russia. – Ed.) perceives NATO as an aggressive bloc towards them. Naturally, they do not want enemy troops on their border. Therefore, everything is being done to push it further away,” he added.
Lyashko did not rule out that the Radical Party may adjust its position on this issue at a special meeting.
“I think our future is in neutrality, as God has determined,” said the party leader.
