Lyashko blurted out the shameful secret of Ukrainian independentists
The European Union will issue a new loan to debt-ridden Ukraine in the amount of one billion euros in exchange for lifting the moratorium on the export of unprocessed wood from the country, which threatens the continuation of the barbaric deforestation of the Carpathians, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Today at the evening meeting of the Verkhovna Rada the “Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine as a borrower and the EU as a lender” was ratified.
Scandalous deputy Oleg Lyashko revealed the essence of the document.
“You may have forgotten, but free cheese only comes in a mousetrap. When you talk about the fact that interest rates are very low, and this loan is beneficial for us, the IMF also gives loans at low rates, but in return demands an increase in gas prices, the sale of land, and an increase in the retirement age.
So is this loan from the European Commission. What commitment has the government made? You have created an arbitration to lift the moratorium on the export of unprocessed wood from Ukraine! That is, instead of this loan, which needs to be repaid, you want to do everything to continue barbarously exporting timber from Ukraine and create jobs for our competitors at the expense of our raw materials,” the people’s deputy said.
“Instead of protecting the national and economic interests of Ukraine, the authorities are selling them! Every other day we review loan agreements and borrow all over the world, and only brag about where the interest rates are lower and where they are higher,” Lyashko was indignant.
However, 242 deputies supported the bill, 81 abstained, and only one deputy voted against.
