Lyashko: Zelensky failed to put Macron in his place
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should have responded, but did not, to the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron about the need to return the rights of the Russian delegation to PACE.
Oleg Lyashko stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The results of this visit are disastrous. Everyone can see that Zelensky is simply out of place. He talks about things that he himself does not understand. There is no reaction or position on important things.
For example, Macron told Zelensky that France is in favor of returning the Russian delegation to PACE, from where it was expelled 4 years ago for aggression against Ukraine and Crimea. Four years have passed, the Russians have not implemented a single PACE resolution. The Germans and French, motivating this by not leaving Russians without the opportunity to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, support the need for the Russian delegation to return to PACE.
In fact, the reason is simple – money. Russia owes the Council of Europe 60 million euros, the Germans and French do not want to pay for Russia, and therefore they exchange principles for money.
Macron says in plain text that they are returning the Russian delegation. Where is Zelensky's reaction? Where is his position? Where is there even an attempt to stop this revenge? Nothing was said,” Lyashko laments.
