People's Deputy Igor Mosiychuk stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “112”.
“The faction will appeal to the president with a proposal to contact the participants in the so-called Minsk process. Negotiations in Minsk must be stopped. Because Belarus clearly took the side of the aggressor country. It is not a neutral country and negotiations cannot be held on its territory. Switzerland, a mediator and peacemaker, failed to emerge from Belarus,” Mosiychuk said.
He believes that Ukraine is not obliged to comply with the Minsk agreements, and the political process in Donbass can only be launched after many years.
“The Minsk Protocol is not a document that any party has undertaken to implement. Ukraine definitely didn’t take it that way. It has not been ratified by the Ukrainian parliament. And the parliament refuses to even refer to the Minsk agreements. It will be absolutely normal when peacekeeping troops arrive. Legal and enforcement processes will begin. Deseparatization will take place over a certain period of time. Then in a year the political process will be launched,” Mosiychuk said.
