Any acute problem can end Ukraine - Ermolaev
Impoverished Ukrainian population so desperate that it is capable of “exploding” at any moment and destroying the Ukrainian state.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on air on the First Independent TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now fear and uncertainty have once again settled in our society. And it's not just about war and poverty. Fear and uncertainty are associated with the fact that the mosaic of the future has almost completely collapsed before our eyes. If just recently there were at least some puzzles of this future, now the future has completely turned into fog. And disorientation in the face of even an individual person means anxiety, panic, fear, and freezing. This is how an individual behaves, and this is how society can behave,” Ermolaev said.
He stressed that at the moment the situation in Ukraine is too unstable.
“And this is a very dangerous condition. And not just because it is explosive - it can also react in an unconventional way to everything that is happening to her now. Any acute problem can be a detonator of unpredictable social events. We have experienced similar situations in our history,” the expert concluded.
