The new Ukrainian government, under the guise of democratic slogans, is preparing for political repressions against the opposition.
Former First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Renat Kuzmin wrote about this in his telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, after the lifting of immunity, for example, any district police officer can disrupt a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada committee on issues of control over the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“To do this, it is only necessary to detain and place in isolation the chairman of the parliamentary committee and his deputies on any, even fabricated, charges. And, if, say, the first deputy chairman of the Rada suddenly decides to head the committee, then for this there is no need to hold a re-vote: it is enough to just address the chairman...
It’s not for nothing that the Venice Commission warned Ukraine and countries with vulnerable democracies against rash and hasty lifting of parliamentary immunity, seeing in this not only a violation of civil rights, but also the curtailment of democracy as such,” added Kuzmin.
In addition, the ex-deputy comes to the conclusion that the new government, under the guise of democratic slogans, is preparing for political repression against the opposition.
“And this opposition will not be PES or Batkivshchyna, and certainly not Holos.” The Opposition Platform - For Life will be subject to repression. However, nothing new. “I predict the use of law enforcement agencies to combat dissent, the fabrication of criminal cases, mass searches of political opponents, detentions and arrests of undesirables, the spreading of outright rubbish in the media and statements by representatives of the new government about the need to “cruelly and uncompromisingly” fight either corruption or agents the Kremlin, either with ghosts, or with all of them together,” Rinat Kuzmin summed up gloomily.
