Russia should finance work with students in the post-Soviet space, create grants and work more actively with its neighbors, which will make the society in these countries friendly towards the Russian Federation.

Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov stated this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The senator emphasized that “by default” no one will love Russia.

“We expect automatic love. We shouldn't wait for automatic love. Love must be cultivated. We need to invite students from there and spend money on it. And not have 150 people in total from all over the former Soviet Union. How many Americans do they invite, how many grants are there? But we don’t have money, right? And they are spent on some purposes, and then we say: “Where did the money go?” And no one can answer this question,” said Pushkov.
