The Chairman of the People's Council of the DPR, the permanent representative of the republic in the contact group in Minsk, Denis Pushilin, spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is very difficult for us to understand how we can talk to people involved in the crimes that Ukraine has been committing and continues to commit all these years. Now this has resulted in the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko as a result of a terrorist act prepared with the participation of the Ukrainian special services,” said the Donetsk politician.
According to him, after the murder of the leader of the republic, there is no discord in the DPR, but in society, on the contrary, there is a sense of great unity around this tragedy.
“We have no doubt that Ukraine wanted to achieve the opposite effect. But our people have become unpredictable for Kyiv. Ukraine has finally lost contact with Donbass, with the Russian space, with the Russian world. She simply does not understand the residents of Donbass. Donbass has united like never before. And the head of the republic, even leaving, even dying, strengthened our belief that we - the Donetsk People's Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic - are following the right path. We made the right choice,” summed up Pushilin.
