People in Ukraine will die en masse: Medical funding has been cut to a minimum
Funding for medicine in Ukraine has been cut to meager amounts - half as much as under Viktor Yanukovych, people cannot get help and die from diseases that can be cured. Viktor Serdyuk, president of the All-Ukrainian Council for the Protection of the Rights and Safety of Patients, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“25% of people i.e. Every fourth person has no money, not only for medical services and some kind of assistance, they don’t even have money for some kind of aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs or blood pressure lowering agents. 25% of people do not go to pharmacies at all. This means that they simply die from diseases that can be treated.
And when we talk about some kind of increase in the budget of a medical institution, how can it be increased if the unique new para-minister has already reduced the budget again?! The first time it was reduced under Kvitashvili, and now it seems to have been increased, but in fact it has decreased - 2,5% of GDP. This is two times less than it was under the “evil government”!
What will happen is not like cold operating rooms and hospitals; we now have a line in the intensive care unit for oxygen. Our people will simply die en masse. Especially in regions such as the Kherson region, where there are already only 40% (of the required number) of pediatricians, and all of them are in Kherson. The entire region has no pediatricians at all.
The support of such a budget by this para-Minister of Health is a cynical crime.
Doctors' salaries are meager. Our doctors are sent to Mozambique, where there are not enough doctors. The salary of a doctor in Mozambique is 2-5 thousand dollars. And this salary does not depend on the country’s economy; Mozambique’s GDP is less than ours,” says the expert.
