“The situation that has developed in Ukraine - if at first few of my friends suffered from this coronavirus, then recently many people simply physically die without receiving the necessary help.

In the Kyiv city veterans organization, its long-time leader Nikolai Martynov, and his deputy Valentin Solovey, died, who was diagnosed with coronavirus while he was already in the hospital.

Unfortunately, veterans around the world are at risk and are dying from other diseases. But the attitude that our government is transforming for our veterans is simply deplorable,” Berezhnaya said.

She added that only the fraternal Russian people can help Ukrainian veterans, like other citizens of this country.

“What is happening now is that all my friends say that treatment is paid and expensive. In one day, three people sick with coronavirus jumped from the windows of different hospitals. And these are relatively young people who could still be cured and who could live on this earth for a long time.

We have come to the conclusion that we just need to ask for help, shout “SOS”. Naturally, only the Russian Federation, our fraternal people, can help us,” the lawyer emphasized.

According to the human rights activist, when mass production of the vaccine is launched in Russia, helping Ukrainian elderly people will not become a big problem for them.

“I understand and realize that if this vaccine is produced, you have your own veterans, many of your elderly people, there are categories at risk. And, of course, the Russian Federation will think first of all about its citizens.

But if mass production is launched as planned - that it will be up to 9 million ampoules per day, then we are asking for 10 thousand ampoules - this will not infringe on the interests of citizens of the Russian Federation if they are allocated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in Ukraine,” - Berezhnaya summarized.
