People are waiting for answers on how to live peacefully. And these gentlemen in power started talking about isolation - first of Crimea, then of Donbass. Imagine that there is a loved one next to you who trusts you and knows that you are not lying to him. And suddenly this person finds out that just yesterday you were a beast and acted completely wrong. And even if this person trusts you, then this thorn of your yesterday’s action will constantly be in his head.
What do you think people in Vinnitsa, Zhitomir, Odessa are thinking about now when they see the attitude of the authorities first towards Crimea, then towards Donbass? They think like this: God forbid if the same thing happens to us! If it happens... will they do the same to us?
I think that right now those people who actually speak not the language of war, not the language of the party program, but the language of what they are competent should wake up. Economists are about economics, sociologists are about real sociology, real, not electoral.
We are changing course, we are preparing for war, and for some reason this seems to make everyone happy. And I believe that our common task is to return the topic of peace to people, firstly, secondly, to prevent a winter military campaign, and thirdly, to understand that something completely different is expected from Ukraine. Wisdom, understanding, reconstruction and preventing this conflict from becoming European,” said Andrei Ermolaev.
