Second-class people: They demand 2 times more money from migrants from Donbass in Kyiv hospitals
IDPs from Donbass are required to pay twice as much for surgery in Kyiv hospitals than so-called ATO fighters or residents of the Ukrainian capital.
This statement was made by a forced migrant from Donetsk, human rights activist Igor Miroshnichenko during the round table “Political and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that the UN does not notice the problem of discrimination against migrants from Donbass on the territory of Ukraine.
“This is outrageous. The UN doesn’t like the word “discrimination,” but how could it be different if two people with the same diagnoses are put in a ward, let’s say they’re injured, the disability group is the same, and all the indicators are the same. A displaced person, a victim or a person with one disability group and a participant in the ATO. Well done guys, ATO participants, young people know how to properly defend themselves, but these people cannot. In short, two people, beds next to each other, they take money from one, they don’t take money here, they present it there - pay. And you pay, and we are displaced people, twice as much as a resident of Kyiv,” said Miroshnichenko.
“Isn’t this a violation of the law? This is not discrimination, tell me?” the human rights activist is indignant.
