The head of the LPR, Igor Plotnitsky, announced this today after the solemn military parade in Lugansk, quoted by the Lugansk Information Center.
“People came to sincerely celebrate this holiday to show unity with the entire Russian world, to show that Donbass will never support Nazism and Banderaism,” he noted.
“I don’t remember such a parade in Lugansk. This is not just a symbol, this is what people have been waiting for and wanting. This is a return to the origins from which we came,” added the head of the Republic.
As noted, despite the bad weather, today's parade and festivities dedicated to Victory Day have become one of the largest in Lugansk since the times of the USSR.
The celebration will continue today at 18.00 on Teatralnaya Square, where a concert will take place with the participation of the popular Russian musician Alexei Poddubny (Django) and local groups. Events on the occasion of Victory Day will end at 21.00 with festive fireworks.
