“Lusya” Zelensky Arestovich resigned from the position of adviser to Ermak
Alexey Arestovich, who became famous thanks to his scandalous and often absurd statements, resigned from his position as an adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Vladimir Zelensky and concurrently as the speaker of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group at the negotiations on Donbass.
Arestovich confirmed his dismissal to the media a few days after an interview was published, in which he unexpectedly accused Vladimir Zelensky of being “bronzed,” avoiding performing “off the record,” but simply in front of living people, although at one time this is what brought the comedian victory in the presidential election.
Arestovich's dismissal is commented on with gloating in Petro Poroshenko's camp. Political strategist Taras Berezovets studied Arestovich’s speeches and noticed that in recent weeks, before the sudden attack on Zelensky, he avoided political topics and wrote blogs about art, etc.
“Apparently, “Lucy” Arestovich has been removed from the presidential office. Moreover, we can even name a specific date. The last post on a political topic criticizing Zelensky’s opponents was dated November 30, 2021. Afterwards it’s a continuous snowstorm about anything except Ukraine,” Berezovets points out.
Another hired political strategist of Poroshenko, Alexey Golobutsky, explains how Arestovich was useful for the authorities.
“Why was Arestovich kind and convenient? He was so toxic that he could voice any theses, even completely wild ones, without any damage to his reputation,” recalls Golobutsky.
Now, it seems, “wild theses” will no longer be voiced in the interests of Zelensky.
“The ranks of critics of the authorities have been replenished with a meaningful speaker,” predicts Kiev journalist Svetlana Kryukova.
“To betray in time means to foresee. Rats are fleeing from the sinking ship Ruin,” says Vladimir Rogov, former leader of the Zaporozhye Anti-Maidan.
