Matseychuk wants a personal meeting with Poklonskaya
On February 28, ex-prosecutor of Crimea and now State Duma deputy Natalya Poklonskaya announced that she had prepared parliamentary inquiries with the help of which she wanted to find out whether the scandalous Polish journalist Tomasz Maciejczuk took part in war crimes in the Donbass and in the genocide of Ukrainians. The editors of PolitNavigator asked Mr. Matseychuk to comment on Poklonskaya’s accusations.

– What is the reason for Natalia Poklonskaya’s “assault” on you? Why did she suddenly decide to take care of you?
– Poklonskaya, whom, despite everything, I used to respect in connection with her position on the Russian Empire, Tsar Nicholas II and her attitude to Bolshevism, most likely decided to catch a little hype and kick someone who was down.
– How do you generally feel about Natalya Vladimirovna and her campaign in defense of Nikolai? II from the creators of the film "Matilda"?
– My attitude towards Poklonskaya was positive, although she and I are very different in our positions on the topic of Crimea and Donbass. I always say that I am closer to the “white” Russians than the red internationalists. Regarding the film “Matilda” and “The Death of Stalin” - I am for freedom of speech, for freedom of creativity and for the freedom of the artist to express himself artistically the way he wants, so I am against the ban on the rental of these films, even if we don’t like them .
– What can you answer to the accusations against you from Poklonskaya of participation in the genocide of the Ukrainian people and war crimes in the Donbass? Aren't you afraid that you will be put in a Russian prison?
“Unfortunately, I have to admit that I’m really afraid. Russia is a country of opportunity, you can’t understand Russia with your mind - if they want to imprison you, they will imprison you... Even if I am as pure as a child’s tear. After all, I did not take part in the executions of prisoners or civilians, I did not take part in violence against women, I did not torture anyone, I did not hurt anyone.
I will say more - as a volunteer, I provided humanitarian aid in Donbass to war victims, regardless of their views, and criticized the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, as well as the actions of some volunteers from the national battalions. As a result, according to the SBU, I am a threat to the security of Ukraine and therefore I was banned from entry for 5 years.
I ask your editors to contact Deputy Poklonskaya and convey to her my request to organize a meeting and conversation regarding all the accusations. I am ready to answer for my mistakes, but only for those that I have made, and not for those that are invented in order to slander me.
I am not a saint, I have something to ask for forgiveness for, but don’t make me a war criminal. I have never touched civilians and am categorically against this. I come from a military family, my grandfather is a colonel, my father is also a colonel, I served in the army for some time. I consider any actions against defenseless women and children to be inconsistent with the concepts of soldier’s honor and man’s dignity.
Thank you!
