This is stated in the Manifesto announced at the end of this evening, the text of which was read out by the representative of the press center of the Maidan, Natalia Solovyova.
The document admits that physically Maidan is now "not always in a state worthy of the memory of dead people." Nevertheless, the inhabitants of the tent camp are not going to disperse and urge the authorities to contribute to the "creation of the Ukrainian shrine."
“The Maidan is the subject of Ukrainian politics, the guarantor of the implementation of the Constitution of Ukraine and the system of control of power,” the Manifesto said. There was also a call to create a municipal police force from the Maydan hundreds. It was said that the Maidan will not disperse until they punish the criminals (it’s not specified which ones), carry out lustration, adopt a package of laws to change the system of government, and so on.
Activists of the tent city consider it necessary to hold an architectural competition to reorganize the territory of the Maidan, which “should remain within the boundaries of the primary barricades.” In addition, it is proposed to hold public hearings regarding the use of the KSCA building, and to turn the House of Trade Unions into a public center.
“It was not politicians who assembled the Maidan, and therefore it was not for politicians to disperse it,” stated the Manifesto approved by the veche.
