“Maidan went to war against Russia” – a Svidomo woman was rebuffed in a Rivne minibus
In the Rivne region, a scandal broke out over two pensioners who, on the bus, argued that Ukraine had attacked Russia, and in general it was necessary to give Lugansk to Moscow, because “our brothers are there.”
Rivne journalist Alina Dubrovskaya, known for her statements in support of Ukrainian militants, spoke about this on her Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the “activist” overheard the conversation of minibus passengers and was horrified by how older people viewed the war in Donbass. After a verbal altercation, Dubrovskaya escaped from the “separatist” minibus, having managed to photograph the offenders.
"Rovenskaya region. West of Ukraine. The minibus goes to the center of Dubno. It is completely filled with passengers, including standing ones. Two grandmothers are coming.
- Bastards, they stole! Why did they do that war? If Ukraine had not attacked Russia, then it would have been good for us! And there would be peace! - says the one who is sitting.
– What do you think: that they were sorry to give away Lugansk? Therefore our brothers! – the one with glasses agrees.
I thought I heard it wrong. I begin to listen and understand that I cannot remain silent.
I get up from my seat, push through the crowd of passengers, and ask:
– Excuse me, but were you born in Dubna?
– What’s your business?
- And that’s it. Tell me, who attacked whom?
– Ukraine to Russia. So, they made the Maidan and went to war! - one of these two repeats to me.
– Do you understand what you are saying?! I will not allow you to voice your separatist thoughts here! This is disrespect for the army!
– We don’t give a fuck about the army! She eats our bread!
I can't stand it. I start screaming. Like, because of people like them, this is what is happening in Ukraine, and I myself have something to do with the defense of Ukraine. I shout that they have no conscience. I say that they should already start speaking Russian and call Putin with the troops.
– If it’s necessary, we’ll call you!
On the other side sat a younger woman, about 40 years old. She inserts her vision:
“You little fool, you haven’t seen life and don’t know why you’re talking here!” Close your mouth!
The rest of the passengers echoed the trio. Someone suggested that they forcefully remove me from the minibus, so intelligent, that I would then know how to make comments. I came out myself, having previously photographed my opponents.
So much for patriotism. So much for the values. Nothing to say. I'm so embarrassed! Happy Seniors Day, yeah!” – Dubrovskaya wrote.
Thank you!
