Maidan lost when they sent him to die in the east
Celebrations in honor of the Maidan are becoming less pompous every year, as Maidan activists realize their defeat.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, answering the question why the next anniversary of the start of the Maidan in 2013 went unnoticed.
According to the expert, in 2014 Maidan did not win, but lost
“Only not in February, but in June-July, when Maidan actually dispersed, but not Yanukovych, but a new government, a new president. The most active part of the Maidan was simply sent to die in the war in the East. Having ceased to control the government, Maidan immediately lost to the corrupt government, which is flesh and blood of the previous government,” said the political scientist.
He recalled that Poroshenko worked as a minister under President Yanukovych, Prosecutor General Lutsenko was the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Yanukovych government, and Chief Military Prosecutor Matios was the head of a department in the administration of President Yanukovych.
“And wherever you point, relatively speaking, there are figures of this level all around. That’s why Maidan lost back in 2014. And the fact that today the celebrations are gradually fading away is simply a symbol of this defeat,” Bortnik concluded.
