Maidan girl sheds crocodile tears: Every year the whole Ternopil dies out in Ukraine
The scale of mortality in Ukraine is becoming catastrophic. The annual population decline is comparable to the disappearance of a city the size of Ivano-Frankivsk or Ternopil.
An active Euromaidan participant, Verkhovna Rada deputy Olga Bogomolets, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian nation is dying out, this is the worst thing. To date, the government has done nothing to change the vector of movement. What does it mean? Every year there are 200 thousand fewer Ukrainians every year, despite all global processes. Every year, virtual Ivano-Frankivsk and virtual Ternopil disappear from our map,” Bogomolets said.
Earlier, former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov said that the country was waiting for demographic catastrophe – The death rate in the country is twice as high as the birth rate.
In total, during the years of “independence”, taking into account emigration and mortality, Ukraine has lost almost half of its population.
