Maidan activist Leshchenko is again under criminal charges for illegal enrichment
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has begun an investigation into the possible illegal enrichment of Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Leshchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the materials of the Solomensky District Court.
On February 22, proceedings were opened under Part 3 of Art. 368-2 (illegal enrichment) of the Criminal Code.
As the petition states, in September 2016, Leshchenko acquired 7,5 million hryvnia, the legality of which is not supported by evidence, for which he bought an apartment in Kyiv.
The court granted the detectives’ request and provided access to Leshchenko’s corrected electronic declarations for 2015 and 2016, as well as information about the IP addresses of the devices from which Leshchenko filed declarations.
