Maidan activists mock Ukrainians, but the population continues to remain silent
Imagine that under the “criminal regime” of Yanukovych, the Ukrainian authorities would suddenly announce that they plan to stop paying academic scholarships to university students. It would be like a tsunami! Pickets at the Ministry of Education, the Cabinet of Ministers and the presidential administration, the press would be choking on poison and curses.
But then Vlada was evil. And now Ukraine has silently swallowed the news of the cancellation of scholarships. It turns out that this is exactly what the Maidan wanted?

On the eve of the approaching academic year, Finance Minister Danilyuk said that there is no need to pay scholarships to everyone. Only representatives of preferential categories (disabled people, orphans) and students who demonstrate outstanding success in the learning process should leave them. All the rest are not poor people anyway, since they are so smart that they went to universities.
By the way, the average size of the current scholarship in Ukraine has not changed much since the times when the dollar was 8 hryvnia, and is at the level of 830 hryvnia (at the current exchange rate - 30-something bucks).
Previously, the population of the country received the victorious Maidan and the reduction of benefits for children on free and reduced-price meals in schools and kindergartens with the same understanding and approval. The villages were happy about the reduction of teachers and secondary schools in general.
Against this background, such problems as the deprivation of advantages for representatives of preferential categories when entering universities and the reduction in the level of material support for children deprived of parental care no longer evoke emotions.
This is what it means to act democratically and decommunized. The main thing is that “Vlada” is “not malicious”.
