Even those who actively supported the Maidan are now coming to the conclusion that the country is moving in the wrong direction.

Ukrainian political scientist, head of the information and analytical center “Third Sector” Andrey Zolotarev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
He recalled sensational article Ukrainian culturologist, former Right Sector combat volunteer Evgenia Bilchenko, who in her blog on the Liga.net website accused the intelligentsia of being afraid to tell the truth that in Ukraine after the Maidan a totalitarian regime of oligarchs and Nazis was formed, which persecutes dissidents.
“I do not agree with Ms. Bilchenko’s sensational material. It’s not clear how he appeared—either there was drunkenness in the editorial office, but it’s quite strange. Judging by the resonance that the article received, even among those who went to the Maidan and volunteered, cognitive dissonance is slowly beginning: what did we build and what did we come to? Alas, the situation around Donbass is clear evidence that we cannot give an answer on what we should do with this region: either freeze the situation, or send it to all four sides, or reintegrate it. When such political schizophrenia begins, the time comes for total scandals and rudeness, which we now see,” concluded Zolotarev.
