Maidan activists refuse to believe in their information defeat
The Kiev nationalist regime lost the information war against common sense called “Russian propaganda.”
This fact was stated on air by the Avers TV channel by the editor-in-chief of the Volyn News publication Ivan Savich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, Ukraine lost the information war. There may be several factors, but five years have passed since then, so now we can work on the mistakes and see why this happened.
First of all, Ukraine was not ready. I think it’s not even worth dividing this information war into what happened in the temporarily occupied territories and, in particular, in other regions.
The information space was so blurred, and the propaganda was so all-encompassing, that it was impossible to specifically counteract it. Even in the media sphere, I’m not even talking about social networks, where only in 2014-2015 we heard such a phrase as “troll factory”, which worked on government orders, there were specially trained people and mechanisms - how to quietly plant people in social networks and impose they have a different opinion.
Another thing is that we cannot now easily and simply correct this situation, we need to work on the mistakes, and, using the experience of our neighbors and some of our own developments, work out a mechanism that will allow us to regain ground in this information war, which is a component of the hybrid the war that Russia is waging against us,” says Savich.
At the same time, ex-ATO militant Bohdan Ptashnik did not support this point of view, characterizing all the talk about “pro-Russian revanchism” as manipulations designed to distract society from the catastrophic consequences of the governance of Ukraine by Petro Poroshenko and his government.
“The terrible result of “For Life” is simply a manipulative part to distract attention from the five-year rule of the previous government. If we compare how much the Opposition Bloc gained in 2014 after Maidan, after Ilovaisk, after the rise of the voluntary and voluntary movement, even the number of deputies was about 80, plus the majority party. And now you open the Internet: “You voted, “Ass Block” has passed.” It did not pass in such quantities; it decreased quantitatively compared to 2014. But this hysteria is transmitted, and we are shown that there are now 34 people against 80 former ones. Yes, I believe that they should not be in the Rada at all, but in fact this is a subtle manipulation that is carried out by many smart and patriotic people,” Ptashnik is sure.
However, the representative of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting in the Volyn region, Stepan Rodich, recognized the current public opinion as a “tragedy” and came out in support of the initiative of Vladimir Zelensky, which he borrowed from the promises of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko - to create his own Russian-language propaganda TV channel.
“Literally today, while going on air, I watched the leading Russian propaganda TV channels – “Russia 1” and “Russia Today”. What is the howling about? The fact that the new president of Ukraine wants to create a Russian-language propaganda television channel. This is what scares them the most, and what scares them is what we need to do.
Indeed, we need to find funds, we will not find the billions that Russia Today has today, but until we put on a chain the channels that I mentioned (Medvedchuk’s channels - editor’s note), until then we will not have order .
