After Euromaidan, the population of Ukraine became two to three times poorer, but the deputies managed to raise their salaries - they became 6 times more than they were before the coup. Former deputy and active participant in the Ukrainian Maidans, Alexander Doniy, admitted this on Radio Liberty.

“If society suffers, then deputies must set an example and bear joint responsibility. It turned out that, despite the fact that society began to become two to three times poorer after the Maidan, proposals to increase salaries for deputies were six times greater than two years ago,” Doniy said.
