About it reports the Ukrainian pro-Maidan publication “Informator”.

“In Dnipro, to the song “Dnepropetrovsk is my native home” performed by Kobzon with red flags, the column of the “Union of Soviet Officers” walked from the Monument of Glory to the monument to General Pushkin. During a rally of Soviet officers, a woman approached them and began to criticize the event. A conflict ensued. One of the protesters attacked the journalist, tearing the camera out of her hands. The police behaved passively, but in the end they helped the journalist,” the publication says.

The publication reports that “among the rally participants was Viktor Marchenko, who in the spring of 2014 was one of the organizers of separatist unrest in the city. In March 2014, Viktor Marchenko organized rallies in Dnieper with calls “Putin come!” . In subsequent years, on May 9, he and his accomplices installed a red star on the monument to Glory,” the publication reports.
