The grenade explosion near the Verkhovna Rada is similar to an operation by the special services and will be used by the authorities to further “tighten the screws.”

Ex-People's Deputy Oles Doniy stated this on TV channel 112.

“Ukraine has already lost elections - now ordinary people cannot participate in the electoral process - such changes to the legislation were carried out by the Verkhovna Rada. An alternative, in theory, would be extra-parliamentary activities. These are rallies and demonstrations. This is how Ukraine gained independence, after all. Now, as a result of these events at the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine has lost the opportunity to participate in demonstrations and rallies. Discredit has occurred, and now there is a danger that any demonstrations could end in explosions. This provocation is very similar to KGB-type provocations,” Doniy said.
