During the hour of questions to the government, the leader of the Popular Front faction, Maxim Burbak, asked the head of the National Police, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Vadim Troyan to report on the “special operation” carried out, after which the audience supported him with applause.
“We all know that last night another Kremlin canned food was opened, which took bribes to publish numerous fakes in the media. Mr. Vadim, please inform us about this successful operation. At what stage is the investigation going, who was involved and, most importantly, the next steps to defend the information space of our state?” - said Burbak.
Troyan noted that another person involved in the Guzhva case was detained, and the journalist himself was allegedly “caught red-handed,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, the prosecutor’s office of the city of Kyiv, together with the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of the city of Kyiv, detained two criminals who extorted a bribe from people’s deputy Linko. While transferring 10 thousand dollars, they were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. Investigations are currently underway. This case, thanks to the fact that the deputy contacted us on March 31.03. Investigative and covert investigative actions have been carried out in three months, and this case, I think, will reach its logical conclusion,” Troyan said.
